Lifestyles with Debbie Norrell | Shake it Up

What might be the best thing that comes out of the entire Corona Virus debacle? No it’s not the $1200 that you will be taxed on and it’s not that you got to work from home, or eat all day and never get dressed. In my opinion I think not shaking hands will be a game changer. How many times have you shaken hands with someone and thought wow what a weak or clammy handshake. This applies to both men and women. So many people have not mastered the art of the handshake. It’s either too firm, too limp, and that direct look in the eye is missing. I always felt you could tell a lot about someone by shaking their hand.

When the coronavirus pandemic is over, Dr. Anthony Fauci believes we should never shake hands ever again. He said never. “As strict lockdowns end, many normal habits and behaviors will have to change. When you gradually come back, you don’t jump into it with both feet,” Fauci said. “You say, what are the things you can still do and still approach normally? One of them is absolute compulsive hand washing. The other one is you don’t ever shake anybody’s hands. That’s clear.” And he said hand washing not a dab of hand gel.

This happens to me often at social events. I have just washed my hands getting ready to eat and someone wants to shake my hand. I don’t know if that person just wiped their nose or just came out of the bathroom. Now thanks to the good doctor I can pass and give them a fist bump or nothing at all. Just a friendly greeting and a smile and say I’m happy to meet you.
