Got Milk by Debbie Norrell

The last challenge that someone asked me to participate in involved water and money. It was that one where you poured water over your head or contributed to a charitable organization. I know I didn’t pour the water over my head, if you guys know me you know how I am about my hair. I might have made the contribution just to get someone off my back, but the bottom line is I don’t like challenges. If you are not on Facebook, you might have missed the “milk crate” challenge.

This challenge involves someone stacking plastic milk crates (like the kind you put your albums in back in the day or made a shelf out of in your first apartment) in a step-like pattern. The crates are stacked in a single file step pattern, and I would say the higher they are the bigger the challenge. I have watched quite a few of these videos and some of the crates are stacked high — some rather low. The challenge is to start at one end and then without assistance walk up the crates and come down the other side without falling. After watching most of the people fall to the ground I asked why and then I asked myself who thought this up? Yes, the challenge takes place in front of spectators and I’m sure the challenge is no fun if no one is there to video the results. I must admit I got a good laugh out of watching these people trying not to fall. I can tell you how not to fall. Keep your butt off those milkcrates. Here is a challenge for you: go get a job if you don’t have one, get a vaccine if you don’t have one, find a challenge that makes you look smart instead of the laughingstock of the neighborhood. Reportedly these milk crates were something that was a free item, don’t ask me where to find them, but now some big box store has caught on and the crates are for sale for 99 cents each. That might be the funniest part of it all. People are paying money just to see you possibly break your neck. “This just in- TikTok removes milkcrate hashtags saying it glorifies dangerous acts.”
