Hair Scare Solved by Debbie Norrell

It was the biggest story of the week. How will the lady known as the “Gorilla Glue Girl” get the glue out of her hair? Her real name is Tessica Brown and she is from Louisiana. Brown revealed her plight on Tik Tok earlier in the month. At that time her hair had been stuck for about a month. She said she washed it 15 times and nothing. Everyone was speculating how did this happen. Who would use Gorilla Glue on their hair? I guess the same people who use Crazy Glue to attach their eyelashes or to attach their weave to their hair. There is a product called Gorilla Snot Gel that can be used on your hair to lay it down or to “punk it out.” The jar is yellow and orange and has a picture of a gorilla on the jar. I don’t know if Brown bought the glue or did someone else go and buy it for her? Bottom line I don’t think she read the can before she used it. Brown went to her local hospital for help but with no success. Twenty thousand dollars was raised via a GoFundMe account and then Dr. Michael Obeng came to the rescue. Dr. Obeng is a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon. He has a background in chemistry and researched what was needed to remove the glue from Brown’s hair. Brown used some of the donated money for the trip to Los Angeles and the entire process was filmed and appeared on TMZ. Dr. Obeng explained the entire process. This black man is smart and handsome. In case you are wondering Brown will donate about $20 thousand dollars of the money raised by GoFundMe to Dr. Obeng’s foundation called Restore. The foundation helps people get reconstructive surgery who can not afford it. Tessica Brown looks good now with her natural hair and says she will never use the glue again.
