Essential Functions: 

• Supports the Special Services, Events & Detours team along with Road Operations and Customer Service, by installing or setting-up detours in the Disruption Management System of Clever CAD. Resolves conflicts or escalates the set-up issue to team management.
• Communicates as necessary with the Operations Command Center (OCC) in their efforts to maintain and adjust service, improve on time performance and the customer experience; provide necessary detours to Operations and Communications Departments,  for major special events, service disruptions, natural or man-made emergencies. Pittsburgh Regional Transit is seeking an Assistant Manager Bus/LRT Systems – Electronics to assist the manager with planning and scheduling of all Bus/LRT Systems work as it pertains to electronic/communications equipment for Port Authority of Allegheny County d/b/a Pittsburgh Regional Transit (PRT).  Provide technical oversight and assistance that supports the repair and maintenance of all PRT’s electronic/communication assets. Assist with overseeing administrative activities, outside contracts, capital project activities as related to Bus/LRT Systems department. Work as part of a team that is dedicated to the reliability of all systems that comprise of Bus/LRT Systems. May oversee Bus/LRT Systems-Electronics in the absence of the Manager.

Essential Functions: 

• Assist in overseeing the daily maintenance and repair of all electronic/communications equipment in use at PRT; responds to routine and emergency service and repairs request in a 24/7 environment.
• Directly supervises the department’s First Level Supervisors and has responsibility for all hourly personnel in the departments. Assists in scheduling after hours maintenance to allow for the most efficient use of manpower; assists in approving and tracking all overtime for the department. Provides technical assistance/instructions as required, maintains employee records for supervisors, provides constructive feedback on performance to supervisors and initiates in enforcing PRT’s policies and procedures including the performance code.

Prepares quarterly updates of the utilization analysis, including relevant workforce and availability data to senior management.

Directs activities associated with the security and investment of the organization’s assets and funds; and ensures that financial transactions, policies, and procedures meet the organization’s short- and long-term objectives, and regulatory body requirements.

Essential Functions:

• Directs the activities of the Division’s directors, managers, and their subordinate supervisory staff. Conducts annual performance reviews and recommends and initiates appropriate personnel action.
• Oversees the fiscal management activities to ensure cost-effective utilization of financial resources, proper accounting and reporting of the PRT’s finances and physical assets, proper investment and safeguarding of funds, and compliance with applicable rules, policies, and legal requirements.
