Things that make me go hmmmm. Why is there a love affair with plastic surgery? My guess is that everyone wants to look their best. As I age, I have thought about plastic surgery, but I think I will just age gracefully. Besides, I am afraid that I will not be happy with the outcome, and then what do I do? Have more surgery to try to correct what went wrong. I often wonder if people regret having their surgery. I read that the actress who starred in Dirty Dancing was sorry she had rhinoplasty. After her surgery, no one recognized her. Reportedly, it affected her career. I was at an event recently, and I noticed so many women who “appeared” to have had work done. Yes, I think it’s easy to spot, especially lips, noses, and breasts. The lips were the easiest to spot. I have been hearing a lot about a BBL, and there have been several women who died or became very ill after having a BBL. In case you are not familiar with the term, a Brazilian butt lift (BBL) is a surgery where a surgeon transfers fat from your belly, hips, lower back, or thighs to your buttocks. The result is more of an hourglass-shaped figure with larger buttocks. It’s not an actual lift because it doesn’t try to raise your buttocks. Instead, it increases volume. There have been some recent news stories where people have left the USA to get their surgery at unauthorized facilities, reportedly trying to save money, and unfortunately, they became very sick or passed away due to poor care. If you do decide to have cosmetic surgery, find a board-certified surgeon. Do not go to someone you found on the internet who can give you a big discount, and keep in mind that these changes are permanent. Make sure you want to change your appearance before this critical surgery is done.
