On June 2, 2022, the Arts Facet co-Chairs, Links Janis Burley Wilson and Dina Clark, hosted an awards presentation at the Homewood Branch of the Carnegie Library for the First, Second, and Third Place Winners of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Links Young Master Writers Competition. First Place, Shai Short, and Second Place, Madeleine Ng accepted their certificates of achievement, flowers, and monetary awards presented by Chapter President, Link Jamy Rankin. Due to Covid-19 concerns, the presentation was small, and lasted only 30 minutes, with all attendees, parents, masked. Third Place winner, Karsen Thompson couldn’t be present but her father accepted on her behalf. The young creatives’ writing submissions are presently being considered nationally and we await the results of the National Young Master Writers Program Competition. We thank our media partner, The Soul Pitt for their support of this educational project. Learn more about the Links Pittsburgh Chapter here: www.pittsburghlinksinc.org.
