“I want to get away…I want to fly away,” that’s in my best Lenny Kravitz voice. There is nothing like a good vacation, and one of the best parts of a vacation are the pictures. Even before the camera phone, my dad always took vacation pictures. With the invention of the camera phone, everything you do is a photo shoot. If you are heading on vacation, take the clothes that you want to be photographed in. I am heading out of town, and I plan to take a lot of pictures. There will be a lot of photo opportunities. I went through my wardrobe and selected items that I have not worn in a while or not at all. First, I selected the basics: a pair of black pants and a pair of blue jeans. I will be doing a lot of walking, but I want to look chic, and I don’t want to overpack. I built several outfits around the pants after checking the weather for the days that I will be in Las Vegas. It looks like it is going to be chilly, which is a bummer, but such is life. It looks like perfect sweater weather. I selected a sweater to wear while traveling and my favorite maxi coat. This outfit can be worn on another evening while I’m there or on the trip back. I selected comfortable shoes and a few easy-to-pack hats. I’m staying at the Paris, so berets were the perfect choice and very easy to pack. There will be one night that I want to dress up, so I packed my favorite black dress. Fortunately, the restaurant we are dining in is on the hotel grounds, so I won’t have far to walk in my pretty shoes to the Eiffel Tower Restaurant. Ladies, don’t forget to pack your makeup and hair products. And leave some room in your luggage to bring home all of your purchases. Don’t forget phone chargers and camera chargers. Have fun.
