Christmas home décor has been in the stores for a while, so I would say it’s safe to put my Halloween decorations up. For some reason, I only put up a wreath last year. I have a large collection of pumpkins, sequin pumpkins, black pumpkins, pumpkin bobbleheads, plaid pumpkins, and more. I love Halloween decorations. I saw a few new ones that I wanted to buy, but I felt like I was throwing money down a hole. They were the type of decoration that needed an audience or at least a few others to make it fun. I think I will want until the end of the Halloween season and see what is on sale. I am still amazed at the large yard decorations that a lot of people have. I am thinking that most of them have small children that enjoy the decorations. I saw some skeletons that must be 9 or 10 feet tall, as well as large inflatables. Those things would be fun if kids still did door-to-door trick or treating. My great nephew, who is now 14 years of age, grew up on something called trunk or treat. I’m sure you have heard of it. Parents pull into a parking lot and give out candy out of the trunks of their cars. I don’t understand how that can be fun and who came up with that idea? The worst was kids going to the mall to trick or treat. An idea I’m sure that was developed by mall management. Who wants to trick or treat with a lot of bright lights on? I may give out candy this year. At least I will turn on the porch light and hope no one taller than me comes for candy. Trick or Treat!
