At the heart of the campaign are the\u00a0ABCs of safe sleep:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>A<\/strong>lone\u00a0(baby sleeps only with a fitted sheet and no other items in the crib),<\/li>\n<li><strong>B<\/strong>ack\u00a0(baby should always be placed on their back for naps and bedtime)<\/li>\n<li><strong>C<\/strong>rib\u00a0(sleep should occur in a safe, dedicated infant sleep space rather than adult beds or couches).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In 2024, local data showed that at least one unsafe sleep factor was involved in nearly all (96%) of the infant sleep-related deaths in the county, with many cases involving unsafe locations such as adult beds or couches and co-sleeping with adults or siblings.
