I have talked about Black Friday many times. It used to be the best part of pre-Christmas shopping. I would set my clock for 4 am and I would be out the door by 4:15 am to buy the latest and greatest. This was before the internet. I would end the morning at one of the breakfast restaurants and then go back home. I haven\u2019t done Black Friday in a while because I think its lost its luster. Now that Black Friday deals are starting weeks before the Friday after Thanksgiving I no longer shop. But this past Friday Goodwill was holding a Black Friday sale, and the entire store was 40 percent off. They were open from 9 to 9. In case you don\u2019t know I am a reseller and Goodwill is one of the stores where I source for my business. When I left the house, I didn\u2019t think about a boycott, the only thing on my mind was getting to the store by 9 am for the best deals. I got to the store and found a few great items and decided to do a live from the store to see what my clients thought of my picks. I was getting some great feedback. I purchased my items and then went on to the next Goodwill. While I was in the car, I checked my Facebook messages and saw that someone sent me a message that me shopping on Black Friday was wrong and I was the reason \u201cwe\u201d don\u2019t have anything.\u00a0 I am paraphrasing but this was the basis of the message. I was shocked. I think I heard something about not shopping at certain big box stores, but I didn\u2019t think thrift stores were included in the boycott. I\u2019m not trying to lose my black card, but I am 73 years grown and shopping for me is part of my business. I will shop on black Friday or white Monday to replenish my inventory.<\/p>\n
