If you know me, you know that I am a professional thrifter. What was once a hobby is now how I make part of my living. I shop at thrift stores, mostly local, and in other states when traveling. I purchase items solely to resell on my business page \u201cA Look Not A Label.\u201d Shopping is the best part of the business, at least for me it is. It\u2019s the thrill of the hunt. On a recent trip to Las Vegas, I found a silk designer dress for $8.99 and I sold it for $100.00. It’s those types of finds that makes a thrifter smile. There are a lot of places to thrift and lots of merchandise to select from. I found that I was bringing home a little too much, so I imposed a 30-day challenge on myself, no thrift shopping for 30 days. During that 30-day period the plan was to shop my own inventory which had grown to 9 full sized racks of clothing and two closets. It was a lot and had become overwhelming. I started the challenge on October 1. Keep in mind that I was shopping at least 3 days a week and at times was bringing home more than I was selling on my weekly live shows (Tuesday at 7 PM on A Look Not A Label). I went through my inventory and created themed lives for four weeks. I must say these were some of my best shows. I have successfully cleared 3 racks and now I am going through the rest of the inventory to see what needs to be donated. I started this business 5 years ago and I think I still have a few items from my first year. Today is October 31st<\/sup> and I get to go shopping. Watch my page for what I find.<\/p>\n
