Every time I hear politicians talk about rising grocery prices, I ask myself why is the store crowded every time I go? The lines are long at the check out and I don\u2019t hear anyone\u00a0 <\/span>complaining about the price of bacon. Personally, I have never put back a package of bacon or a dozen eggs due to the price. Yes, I am only shopping for one, that would be me, most of the time but if I want something I buy it. Isn\u2019t that why I worked for over 50 years , to be able to get what I want when I want it. For as long as I have been voting and paying attention to our government there have been ebbs and flows of prices on everything from homes to the cost of gasoline. To me this is just life. Sometimes the prices are high, other times they are more affordable and there are many factors that contribute to prices. You may have to shop around for the best prices, and I don\u2019t mean drive around and waste gas doing it. Use those flyers that are sent to your house each week and see who has the best price. For instance, I like bacon and can not see myself not buying it. This week Shop n Save had bacon for $5.99 while it was $9.99 at Giant Eagle, I get gas perks at both stores so this would be the week that I would shop at Shop n Save. When I see that the sale is exceptionally good, I will buy multiple packages of bacon and freeze them. You do have a freezer, don\u2019t you? That was one of my best Black Friday purchases for $99, a small freezer that fits perfectly in my garage. Buy items on sale and freeze and save. Don\u2019t be duped by politicians that have never been inside of a grocery store. Prices are not going to stay the same, that is a fact of life.<\/span><\/p>\n
