How many times have you walked into a room and can\u2019t remember why you are\u00a0there? Or how about this one: you are using the flashlight on your phone to search for your phone. Recently, I lost my cell phone, and you would have thought the world had come to an end. When I do misplace my phone, I normally can find it in one or two places within the house. Or I can call it from my landline and hear it ringing. My phone was lost for an entire day, and then when it was found, it was at\u00a0a business down the street from my house. I was shocked. I don\u2019t remember having the phone when I was at that location. As a matter of fact, I left there to go home and look for the phone. Just recently, I missed an appointment that I had made the day before. I didn\u2019t write the appointment down; I just figured that I would remember. You may be saying that we all forget, and I know that we do, but when you had a parent who suffered from dementia, you begin to worry if that is why you can\u2019t remember things. I have decided to use the tools that I have at my fingertips instead of trying to commit all things to memory. I am going to make lists, set reminders on my phone, and post notes to myself where applicable. I think I will also put Alexia to work and tell her to remind me about certain things; I guess that will only work if I remember to tell her. LOL, yes, that cracked me up as well. As far as taking a medication or supplement that might help with memory loss, I\u2019m thinking that if they really worked, we would hear about it at the top of the news. I\u2019m going to write myself a note and ask my doctor about it the next time I go. Let\u2019s hope I don\u2019t forget.<\/p>\n
