“As a choral conductor, I feel strongly about collaborative musical undertakings between choral units and instrumental units. I encourage collaborative efforts between choirs, orchestras, bands and other instruments – when performing gospel music as well as standard choral literature where collaborative efforts are appropriate,” says Jones.

Denis Colwell, Music Director and Conductor of RCBB
, echoes some of the same sentiments as Jones.

“Gospel music has great inherent artistic validity and value, it presents interesting collaborative possibilities for the RCBB, and it speaks to the RCBB’s vitality and commitment to the community,” says Colwell.
