Rainbow Kitchen Community Services is committed to improving the quality of life for low income individuals and families through programs that address hunger, child nutrition and supportive services.
The Tree of Hope organization provides referrals, therapy programs for children and families, individual and group sessions for grief counseling, Back To School clothing program, Christmas Dinner Celebration and Toy Distribution program, scholarships and resilience awards for families and children, sponsoring free camps for qualified children, bus passes and tickets for qualified single mothers. We would like to ensure that as many as qualify have the opportunity to receive these services to help them improve the quality of life for their children and families!
The Center for Traumatic Stress in Children and Adolescents www.pittsburghchildtrauma.com Allegheny General Hospital’s Center for Traumatic Stress serves children and families who have experienced traumatic or stressful events in their lives. The program provides prompt evaluation and treatment of children who have been impacted by a variety of traumatic events including abuse, violence, accidents and the death of a loved one. A Second Chance, Inc. (ASCI) A Second Chance, Inc. is a non-profit corporation whose mission is to provide a safe, secure, and nurturing environment to children who are being cared for by their relatives or a close family friend - formally called "kinship care". A Second Chance, Inc. is a subcontracting agency of Allegheny County Children and Youth Services (now called Allegheny County Children, Youth and Families (CYF).

Stepfamily Association of America, Pittsburgh Chapter http://home.comcast.net/~pittsburghsaa/ The Stepfamily Association of America, a national non-profit organization founded in 1979, is the only national association devoted to enriching stepfamily life through information, education and support programs. SAA Chapters provide adults in stepfamilies with the information and support necessary to create successful stepfamilies. Meetings provide the opportunity for adults who share similar problems and concerns to get together on a regular basis, benefit from other people's experiences, explore alternative ways to solve problems and break down feelings of aloneness.

Parents Without Partners An International, non-profit, nonsectarian, educational, organization devoted to the interests of single parents and their children.

Resources for MEN
Maleness to Manhood Inc., www.maleness2manhood.org Maleness to Manhood Inc., is a non profit 501(c3) organization that provides and facilitates, group mentoring meetings, computers and training, career exploration, and promotes the importance of an education, for young men between the ages of 10-18. We collaborate with several organizations to bring our youth together to discuss various topics and current events. Currently we have young men participating from the Hill, Garfield, East Liberty, Wilkinsburg, Homewood, McKeesport, and Baldwin. The group mentoring and life skills training class meets every Tuesday for 6:00 to 8:00 pm, at Ethnan Temple SDA Church, 1205 Wood street, Wilkinsburg, Pa 15221. The Fathers Raising Children Project, is a program of the Single and Custodial Fathers Network, Inc., that has been developed to provide educational, legal and supportive to men who are interested in being actively involved in their children's lives. The Fathers Raising Children Project provides information and support to all types of fathers and our membership is open to anyone interested in supporting fathers in their roles as parents.
