Looking for Volunteers Age 50+ to Participate in LIFT Research Study

Researchers at the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University are looking for volunteers to participate in LIFT, a research study designed to see how people’s views of their past, present, and future well-being change over time and if this influences health and healthcare cost outcomes.

You may qualify to participate in the study if:

  • You are age 50 years or older.
  • See any UPMC primary care provider.

If you participate in LIFT you will complete a yearly questionnaire about your well-being and other aspects of your life. Participation will take about 1 hour each year. You can even complete your questionnaire over the internet. If you choose to complete your survey over the internet you can even save your progress and come back to it if interrupted.    $10 for each survey completed.

There are no direct benefits to you for participating in LIFT. We hope the knowledge we gain in LIFT will help us better understand the relationship between well-being and health.

There will be incentives offered for survey completion.  For every one hundred participants that complete their surveys, those participants will be entered into a drawing for a $200 WePay card.

$10 for each survey completed.

We would love to hear from you!

Please contact us at lift@pitt.edu or call at (412) 586-9849 or (412) 586-9796 to answer any questions, for more information about our study, or to sign up.

Thank you!
