    I just wanted to share how extremely disappointed I was with my Dana’s Styling experience. I made my appointment over the phone with young girl who was clearly taking direction from another woman because everything I said or asked was repeated by the young girl then answered by the voice in the background. I knew my appointment was at 12:00 because it was told to the young girl & she repeated to me. I was also told that normally they ask for a 24 hr cancellation notice. I politely interrupted and said I’ll be there for sure. I proceed to explain my daughter needed a wash & flatiron. She asked if she had a relaxer. I told her no she does not. I gave her our names & expressed I didn’t want it to be greasy, but wanted to be slinky with movement. I asked how much & told her I’m extremely picky. She assured me it would be finished they way I asked & said it would be $50 (told by the voice in the background).The day of I couldn’t take my daughter so my husband took her. First they told him the appt. was at 1:30; so he had to wait. Then they charged him an extra $15 & told him something about her not having a relaxer. I was so upset because the lady we used to go to only charged $45 & the finished result was a hundred times better. My daughter’s hair didn’t look professionally done at all. I will never go to Dana’s again.

    My deepest regrets stem from unsatisfied customers. And though it is unrealistic to assume that we will satisfy each and every person who visits us it remains our goal. The appointment in reference (summer 2012), was clearly a miscommunication. As accustom to policy we try to rectify immediately, offer compensation when deemed appropriate then allow the grievance to grow us.
    I pray that you continue to seek you and your daughters haircare needs in this profession and that you both are blessed by the experiences.

    Dana,

    You And I both know that the appointment referenced took place just recently on November 10th of this year. I’m not sure why you’d lie about that, but I pray that you service potential clients with a sense of appreciation in the future. Recognizing there are many salons in the Pittsburgh area-the fact that a potential client chooses your salon is a blessing. Never take that for granted.

  4. First off I would like to say great blog! I had a quick
    question in which I’d like to ask if you do not mind.
    I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear yoiur thoughts prior tto writing.

    I have had difficulty clearing my thoughts in getting
    my ideas out there. I truly do take pleasure in writing but it just
    seems like the first 10to 15 minutes are generally wasted just trying to fighure out how to begin. Any ideas or hints?
