When Love Talks

By Karen Fischer

When love talks, it has least need of speech.

When love talks, words may be too much.

And yet I want to say again how much I feel for you,

so silent yet so true.

You speak to me through your fiery eyes -a blazing

passion which you cannot disguise.

So when you read this I hope that you will find a part of all of the love

that I hold for you in my heart.

Appreciation of The Black Race

By Karen Fischer

Black is the color not of their heart and soul, but of their face.

It is their history, their race.

Of where their people have been they are proud,

Of where they are going they shall stand out in a crowd.

Whether they be too skinny or too fat, too light or too dark,

Due to what their ancestors have withstood, they have made their mark.

Their brothers and sisters have laid a foundation,

Which has given them a special place in this nation.

It takes all kinds to make the world complete.

Thanks be to God that I've had a chance of some of these wonderful people to

meet.

To learn and to share some of their ways.

If we all learn from each other it will lead to less prejudice days.
