July 29, 2006 12N-1:30 p.m Olugbala Manns, is a nationally known performer, drummer, drum maker & . educator. Olugbala specializes in the rhythms of West Africa drumming as well as having expertise in the art of Djembe´ Drumming. He will conduct Workshop I. in which he will focus on Djembe´ drum instruction. Register now for a nominal fee of only $5.00 -- space is limited. Bring your personal drum.
July 29, 2006 1:30-3:00 pm Talese Campbell-Drame' , is an experienced dancer who specializes in West African dance. Combining her love of choreography and teaching, Mrs. Drame˘ traveled to various countries in Africa to study the history, music, dance and culture of traditional West Africa. She will present a beginners' Master Class I in West African dance. Register early, space is limited. Fee is only $5.00/class.

August 5, 2006 1:30-3:00 p.m. Master Dance class II, continuation of the West African dance class conducted by Talese Campbell-Drame' .. $5.00 fee.
August 19, 2006 12N-2:00 p.m. Nana Malaya Rucker, a former Pittsburgher, now a resident of Washington DC, an internationally known dancer and choreographer, will present a Master Class in African/Haitian dance. She is the Director of the Nubian Dance Ensemble who has been highlighted in Essence Magazine for her work and abilities. She was a choreographer for the late award-winning playwright, August Wilson. As a artist she has performed at the Kennedy Center, in the National Black Theatre Festival, and at the Olympic Black Arts Festival, to name a few. Join this exciting class for a fee of only $5.00.
