"Soul Blast - 5th Annual Family Reunion Festival Aug 2-3 at Mellon Park"

Community Empowerment Association, Inc.
5th Annual Pittsburgh
Black Family Reunion Festival
Theme: “Addressing the State of the Black Family”
August 2 – 3, 2008 at Mellon Park

The Pittsburgh Black Family Reunion Festival is the biggest African American cultural festival in Pittsburgh; it consists of The Peace In Hood basketball Tournament, performances from Pittsburgh's finest, workshops, and several activities for the youth. The event has grown astronomically over the past two years.  Last year, Saturday's attendance, alone, nearly doubled the attendance from the previous two day festival.  This growth is an indication that the event has developed into a landmark community event that is anticipated throughout the year!
