About the Warnie Macklin/Jeep Kelley
Scholarship Fund

The purpose of the fundraiser is to establish the Warnie Macklin – Jeep Kelley Scholarship fund and the Warnie Macklin - Jeep Kelley Youth Development Foundation.

Both Warnie Macklin (Fifth Avenue & Brashear High School) and Robert “Jeep” Kelley (Schenley High School) were born and raised in the Hill District. Legendary athletes in the Pittsburgh Public School system during the 1970’s, both passed away at a relatively young age. In the 70’s, team sports was one of the biggest tools used to help keep our young folks busy, develop friendships and provide an avenue for furthering ones education. We are attempting to take the lead in the development of our inner city youth of today, while honoring the memory of the names of our deceased brothers.
